Malaysian Ministry of Tourism discusses three measures to attract tourists from China.

BEIJING, August 17 (Xinhua) According to the Oriental Daily, Malaysian Tourism Minister Huang Yanyan said on June 16 that the Ministry of Tourism and the Immigration Bureau discussed three measures to reduce the impact of the cancellation of visas on China tourists.

She said that the Ministry of Tourism advised Malaysian tourists to take three measures to visit scenic spots and continue to visit China, that is, to encourage China tourists who meet the tourist conditions to apply for multiple entry visas and stay for 30 days at a time.

She said that the second measure is that Malaysian tourists can handle visa agency matters in authorized travel agencies in second-tier cities such as Chongqing, Wuhan, Guangxi and Zhengzhou. These travel agencies process tourist data and then send them to the Malaysian Consulate in China for review.

As for the third measure, it is suggested that Malaysian tourists who come to Malaysia for business can apply for a seven-day visa, so that they can spend two more days traveling in China besides five days of running errands.

Huang Yan made the remarks at a news conference held by the Ministry of Tourism on June 5438+06, aiming at the impact of the government's cancellation of visas on arrival on China tourists.

Applicants for multiple entry visas must meet four conditions, namely, having an international credit card; Holding visas from Australia, the United States, Europe and Japan; Multiple entry into Malaysia, at least three times within six months; Family members of the applicant are working or studying in Malaysia.

She pointed out that since China is suitable for playing golf all year round, the Ministry decided to cooperate with golf clubs to promote golf tour packages to attract Malaysian tourists. She said that compared with the 466,685 Malaysian tourists who came to China in the first half of last year, the number of Malaysian tourists increased to 5 1.6 1.60 in the same period this year, an increase of 1.6%.
