Vietnam is a country with a history of more than two thousand years. Before the Qin Dynasty in China, Wang Xiong, a legendary hero, established a country called Pang Hong in present-day northern Vietnam.

After Qin Shihuang unified the Central Plains, in order to consolidate the south, he occupied the position of Vietnam today. In 2 14 BC, Qin put northern Vietnam under the management of Xiang County, and immigrated to northern Vietnam in large numbers.

In 204 BC, Zhao Tuo, the captain of the South China Sea, established himself as the king of South Vietnam during the chaotic period at the end of Qin Dynasty, and North Vietnam became a part of South Vietnam. In BC 1 1 1 year, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty destroyed South Vietnam and established three counties, namely Jiaotoe, Jiuzhen and Rinan, in northern Vietnam, under direct rule. In the following 1000 years, despite repeated rebellions, the Jiao Jiao area in northern Vietnam was basically under the direct jurisdiction of the China regime.

The Independence of Vietnam and Champa and the Unification of Vietnam

At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zhanren District killed Xianglin County Magistrate of Hinan County in Han Dynasty, gained independence from China, occupied most of the former Hinan County, and established the Champo State with Brahmanism as the state religion, with Hue as the boundary in China. 1 190-1220, Zhanpo was occupied by Zhenla, and then China was restored.

In 939 AD, Wu Quan became independent from the Southern Han regime of the Five Dynasties in China and established the Wu Dynasty. In 968, Ding Bu led the establishment of the Ding Dynasty, which was recorded by Song Taizu in China as the king of Jiaodi County, and the capital of Quyue State was Hualu (now Ningping City, Ningping Province), which was officially independent. In 980, Qianchao Li was established. 1009, Le Tai t established the Li dynasty. 1225, Chen Ritong established the Chen Dynasty. 1407- 1428, China's Ming Dynasty Chengzu sent troops to destroy Yue and ruled directly. 1428, Li Jue defeated the Ming army, became emperor on his own, established the post-Li Dynasty, 147 1 year, and destroyed Shiva. 1527, the post-Li dynasty split the north and the south, and the north was controlled by the Mo dynasty established by Mo. After 1592, the Li Dynasty was restored, with the northern part controlled by the Zheng family and the southern part controlled by the Ruan family. 1698, the water wax was destroyed (now Mekong River Delta). 177 1 year, the uprising of three brothers in Xishan broke out, which destroyed Ruan and Zheng successively, unified the whole country and established the Xishan dynasty. 1802, Nguyn Phuc Anh, with French support, eliminated the Xishan dynasty and established the Ruan dynasty, and was crowned as the king of Vietnam by Emperor Jiaqing of China, thus formally establishing Vietnam.

French occupation

1884 France occupied the whole of Vietnam and incorporated it into the French colonial territory of zhina Peninsula. At the same time, French missionaries designed a set of pinyin characters for Vietnam, which is now called "national language" by Vietnamese. From 65438 to 0930, Ho Chi Minh, the father of Vietnam, began to lead the anti-colonial movement in northern Vietnam. 1940s, Japanese invaded zhina Peninsula. The United States provided military support to Ho Chi Minh rebels who opposed Japanese aggression and promised to support Vietnam in seeking independence after the war. 1945, the Japanese army announced its surrender, and Ho Chi Minh announced the establishment of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in Hanoi. However, the United States reached a secret agreement with the French government to continue French colonial rule in Vietnam, and Ho Chi Minh turned to the Soviet Union for support. 1954, under the command and assistance of People's Republic of China (PRC), the Vietnamese army won a major victory in the Battle of Dien Bien Phu, declared its independence, and immediately gained wider support from the Soviet Union and China. In order to fight against Vietnam led by Ho Chi Minh, the French government announced at the Geneva Peace Conference (1954) that it would hand over the political power to Bauda, the last emperor of Ruan Dynasty, and set up the South Vietnamese government to compete with the North Vietnamese regime. Paul the Great appointed Wu Tingyan as Prime Minister. 1955, with the support of the United States, Wu Tingyan signed a decree to abolish the royal family and declared himself the president of the Republic of South Vietnam.

Vietnam War

With the support of the United States, the southern government headed by Wu Tingyan refused to negotiate with the north on universal suffrage before the deadline of July 1955. Ho Chi Minh gained considerable support in North Vietnam, mainly because they carried out large-scale land reform, which enabled poor farmers to obtain land ownership, while South Vietnam did not, thus losing the key farmers' support. South Vietnam refused to abide by the Paris Agreement and declared a republic. Ho Chi Minh immediately declared the independence of North Vietnam. In order to ensure the development of the southern regime, American economic and military assistance to South Vietnam never stopped in the 1960s, until the North and South signed a ceasefire agreement in the 1960s. After that, the United States withdrew its troops from South Vietnam. (Refer to Vietnam War)

Two years later,1April 30, 975, the North Vietnamese army defeated the southern regime, and the two countries were unified under the leadership of North Vietnam. 1976, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam was renamed the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. A total of 3.8 million people died in the war, and the rest of the wave has not subsided for 20 years after the end of the war: all Vietnamese boat people in Hong Kong will be repatriated to Vietnam after 1997.

At the beginning of the 9th century, monks from China and Viet Nam began frequent exchanges. The 400-year period from 10 to14th century was the heyday of Buddhism in Vietnam. During this period, eight kings became monks, and the kings used monks to participate in state affairs. Buddhism is regarded as the state religion. Formed a situation that "most people are monks, and China is full of temples". By the beginning of the15th century, the post-Li Dynasty was established, which only respected Confucianism and ordered Shu Ren to believe in Buddhism. Since then, Buddhism has become a folk religion believed by ordinary people.
