I. Procedures for handling passports:

(1) Submit a valid passport.

(2) Submit various documents related to the application, such as my birth certificate, marital status certificate, education certificate, work experience certificate, etc.

(3) Fill in and submit the visa application form. Different visas have different forms. Most of them should be filled out in foreign languages and photos should be provided at the same time.

(4) Meeting with officials of the Embassy and Consulate of China in that country. Some countries stipulate that all immigrant applicants must be interviewed before making a decision; Some countries also require interviews to apply for non-immigrant visas.

(5) The embassy or consulate shall submit the completed visa application form and necessary supporting materials to the domestic competent authorities for examination and approval. The embassies and consulates of a few countries have the right to issue visas directly, but they still have to report to China for the record.

(6) After going to the competent department of the country for necessary examination and approval, notify the embassy or consulate in the country of the examination and approval opinions. If you agree, a visa will be issued. If you refuse, you will also inform the applicant. (For visa refusal, the embassy or consulate will not refund the visa fee. )

(7) Pay visa fees. Generally speaking, when submitting a visa application, you must pay the fee first. In some countries, the fee is charged only after the visa application is successful. Generally speaking, immigrant visa fees are slightly higher and non-immigrant visa fees are slightly lower. There are also some countries and regions that are visa-free.

Second, the materials needed to apply for a passport:

1, a recent bareheaded photo, and a completed Application Form for China Citizens to Go Abroad for Private Purposes (hereinafter referred to as the Application Form);

2. Resident identity card and residence booklet and their copies; During the collection, renewal and replacement of resident identity cards, temporary resident identity cards, household registration books and their copies may be submitted;

3./kloc-citizens under the age of 0/6 should be accompanied by their guardians, and submit the guardian's exit opinions, guardian's resident ID card or household registration book, passport and photocopy;

4. State functionaries shall, after examination and approval in accordance with the relevant regulations and personnel management authority, submit the certificate of consent to leave the country issued by their unit or the competent unit at a higher level;

5. Other materials required by the exit-entry administration of the public security organ of the provincial local people's government after approval by the exit-entry administration of the Ministry of Public Security.

Three. Requirements for handling passports:

1. When preparing the application, you must submit and fill in the complete original application form, and attach 1 recent 2-inch light blue background color photo; Proof materials corresponding to the reasons for leaving the country; The original residence booklet, identity card and the first page, personal information page, change page and copy of identity card of the residence booklet.

2. To prepare for going abroad to visit relatives, friends, travel, study abroad, settle down, find employment or engage in business and other non-official activities, you need to apply for an Ordinary Passport of the People's Republic of China and receive an Application Form for China Citizens to Exit and Entry for Private Purposes. The places where the forms are collected are the police station where the household registration is located, the Exit-Entry Administration Office of the Public Security Bureau (county) and the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of Shenyang Public Security Bureau.

Please fill in the application form with black or blue-black ink pen, and the handwriting should be clear and neat, and it shall not be altered.

4. The evidence can be collected in person or by express mail, and the certificate can be obtained according to the date on the receipt of the evidence. I must bring my resident ID card or residence booklet, hold the Certificate Receipt, and get the certificate after paying the fee.

5. Passport processing time: Passport will be issued within 0/5 days from the date of receiving the application materials. In remote areas, inaccessible areas or due to special circumstances, passports cannot be issued on schedule, and the issuance time can be extended to 30 days with the approval of the person in charge of the exit-entry management agency of the public security organ of the provincial local people's government.

Article 7 of the Passport Law of the People's Republic of China

The registration items of ordinary passport include: passport name, gender, date of birth, place of birth, date of issue, period of validity, place of issue and issuing authority.

The validity period of ordinary passports is: five years for passport holders under the age of 16 and ten years for those over the age of 16.

The specific measures for issuing ordinary passports shall be formulated by the Ministry of Public Security.

Article 11

In any of the following circumstances, the passport holder may apply for a new or reissued passport in accordance with the regulations:

(1) The passport is about to expire;

(2) The passport visa page is about to run out;

(3) The passport is damaged and cannot be used;

(4) The passport is lost or stolen;

(5) Other circumstances in which a passport needs to be renewed.

Passport holders applying for renewal or replacement of ordinary passports shall submit their applications to the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ of the local people's government at or above the county level where their household registration is located; In foreign countries, I will submit it to the people of China, China's embassies and consulates abroad or other overseas institutions entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After returning to China, China citizens who have settled abroad apply for renewal or replacement of ordinary passports, which shall be submitted by themselves to the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ of the local people's government at or above the county level.

The renewal or replacement of diplomatic passports and official passports shall be handled in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
