Kashgar River is also called Kashgar River or Ili Kashgar River. It originated in the northern foot of Tianshan Mountain in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Gashan Mountain in Elaine Khabir. It flows westward and joins the Gongnaisi River near Dunmazha, Yining County, and flows northward as the Ili River. The total length is 304km. The basin above Tuohai in Yining County covers an area of 8,656 square kilometers, with a natural drop of 2,506 m and a theoretical reserve of 1.4538+0.000 kW.
