Three Gorges Dam

The Three Gorges Dam is located in Sandouping, Yichang City, 38 kilometers away from the downstream Gezhouba Water Control Project, which is the largest water control project in the world today.

There are five parks in the dam: Three Gorges Exhibition Hall, Tanziling Park, 185 Park, Near Dam Park and Interception Memorial Park. Relying on the Three Gorges Project, the engineering culture and water conservancy culture will be fully displayed.

Three swimming pools

Sanyou Cave, located 7 kilometers northwest of Yichang, is a huge cave on the cliff of the north peak of Xiling Mountain. Backed by the mouth of Xiling Gorge of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, facing Xialaoxi. It is one of the famous historical sites and key cultural relics protection units in Hubei Province.

Sanyou Cave, with steep terrain, canopy-like, warm in winter and cool in summer, is an irregular rectangle with a depth of about 30 meters, a width of about 23 meters and a height of about 9 meters. It is a limestone cave formed by the continuous dissolution and collapse of ancient groundwater along the rock surface. Its stratigraphic geological age is CAMBRIAN, about 500 million to 600 million years ago. The rocks in the cave are folded and undulating, and the faults are vertical and horizontal.

Jiuwanxi

Jiuwanxi is located 20 kilometers south of the Yangtze River and upstream of the Three Gorges Dam. It is one of the few tributaries of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. This stream is 46 kilometers long. It faces the cow and horse flying into the estuary, with Baojian Gorge in the upper reaches and Kenling Beach in the lower reaches. It is the steepest section of the ancient waterway of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. Jiuwanxi estuary, known as the giant fish pond in ancient times, is the place where the legendary great patriotic poet Qu Yuan returned to his hometown, and now it has become one of the best scenic spots in Pinghu, Gaoxia.
