Management Status of Kunyu Mountain National Nature Reserve

When the "two pests" occurred in Kunyushan Forest Farm, large-scale chemical control was used by aircraft, which caused great damage to the food chain structure, broke the natural ecological balance, and a large number of diseased trees were cut down. In 1970s and 1980s, the local people's neat afforestation movement affected the lives of animals in the forest, and many animals disappeared. In the middle and late period of 65438+80' s, the forest farm adopted the technical measures of closing hillsides to facilitate afforestation, and accelerated the natural succession process of stand structure through comprehensive management means such as biological control, and the mixed forest structure became more and more perfect. From 1996 to now, all the trees in the nature reserve have been completely banned.

After the establishment of Kunyu Mountain Nature Reserve, in order to reduce the pressure of protection and human disturbance and destruction, in September, 20001year, the 43rd mayor's office meeting of Yantai Municipal Government decided that local finance would invest 5 million yuan to establish residential areas outside the reserve, and all 237 forest residents who had been scattered in the buffer zone of the reserve for more than 20 years1year would undergo ecological migration. In 2002, the ecological migration project was fully completed, and the goal of no human habitation in the core area and buffer zone of the reserve was completely realized. In strict accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Administration of Nature Reserves in People's Republic of China (PRC), the Administration of Nature Reserves is not allowed to build any production facilities in the core area and buffer area of nature reserves. The core area of the nature reserve is strictly forbidden for human beings to enter, and the ecological environment has been effectively protected. Small animals such as rabbits and pheasants provide rich food sources for large mammals such as wolves.

Kunyu Mountain National Nature Reserve has not been chemically treated for more than 30 years, and the forest is in a state of natural evolution with little human disturbance, which is extremely rare in China. In 2003, China Academy of Forestry set up a forest ecosystem positioning observation research station in the nature reserve, which will conduct a long-term positioning study on the ecosystem structure and function of warm temperate natural secondary forests in coastal hilly areas. The protection bureau plans to cooperate with the national scientific research institute to further study the activity law and population number of wild animals in nature reserves by using advanced scientific means and infrared sensing detection technology.

At present, Kunyu Mountain Reserve is the youngest "administrative region" in Yantai. In order to better protect, utilize and develop Kunyu Mountain, on July 3, 20 10, the municipal party committee and the municipal government established the Kunyu Mountain Reserve Working Committee and Management Committee, which were officially unveiled on July 7, 20110, and were responsible for Kunyu Mountain. As of February, 20 12, there were 7 members of the leadership team and 26 staff members below the middle level in the nature reserve working committee and management committee. There are 6 administrative units at the department level, namely, the office (with the brand of Social Bureau), the Party-masses Work Department (with the brand of Human Resources and Social Security Bureau), the Economic Development Bureau, the Finance Bureau, the Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau of Resource Protection and the Construction Bureau (with the brand of Tourism Bureau); Establish social affairs service centers and public utility service centers. Prepare 50 people. The subordinate institutions of Kunyushan Forest Farm 1 unit, with 260 employees and 232 existing employees. Kunyu Town has 63 employees.
