The mentality of immigrants

1 cultural conflict, I am in America, and I feel that others are both curious and respectful of our culture. Everyone talks about China food with greedy eyes, which is very interesting. People here don't judge others to their faces. Even in China, people never say anything that is a little ugly, or what advice is ugly. This place is full of good things. Everyone is friendly but never denies each other, and rarely talks about other people's lives in depth (it is another matter to talk to your wife when you go home). This is much better than in China. After a long time, you will find that it is a social phenomenon that China people don't let everyone feel better. On the contrary, American interpersonal relationships are very simple. Don't interfere in other people's comments, be a good person. Generally, unhappy things don't happen. But after all, we are all human beings, and some of the most basic qualities are the same. In my opinion, even unpleasant things can't all be classified as cultural conflicts. Now that you have the whole educational experience, you should have enough confidence and ability to look at cultural differences with wide eyes. Please respect them if we don't accept them at all. It's as simple as that, but it doesn't matter whether you agree or not.

The language depends on you. People's IQ will not decline in middle age, which is also caused by family chores and life pressure. However, there are also people here who switch to doctors in their fifties, that is to say, they start learning new majors at the age of 50. Others immigrated when they were in middle school. Now when people reach middle age, English is half a bucket of water. I know a Korean who is like this. Some people in Chinatown have been here for 30 years, and they can only say yes, ok, thank you.

Third, I don't think it needs more consideration. As long as you come from different cultures, you can get along well, but you can't talk about integration. For example, if an Asian baby is adopted by a white family, the child will definitely not be integrated when he grows up. On the contrary, he or she can't adapt to Asian values and social relations at all. Besides, if you really integrate into the white society, you will find that there is no difference between you and not. They pay special attention to privacy and independence. From the perspective of China people, they are heartless to each other, but this is their culture. Once I visited the supermarket and saw an old lady in an automatic wheelchair. She wants to reach for a product, but her hand can't reach it. I asked her, "Can I help you?" But the old woman refused inarticulate and said to herself, "I can do it … I can do it." I stood there and watched her do it, but it was really successful. I admired her in my heart. If you are an old lady in China, you will think you are a good child even if you don't help, or you will simply enjoy this kind of care. ..... The so-called integration, for example, now the Han people in the mainland live in the same place. After a long history, some people have begun to integrate with each other, and some people still can't fully accept each other's life concepts and habits, but it's nothing, just peace.

Therefore, from this example, the first time Chinese immigrated to the United States was the oppressed Chinese workers a hundred years ago (the number was very small, which had little impact on society), and the second time was the tide of mainland going abroad twenty or thirty years ago. In such a short history, it is too early to talk about integration. Let's talk about mutual respect. For example, China people love to eat live meat, and they think it is delicious to kill live chickens now (especially in southern Guangdong). Killing live chickens without permission is simply cruelty to animals in mainstream white society, which is a felony. However, at present, this is not stipulated in the Chinese community, and some Chinese parliamentarians protested. The government turned a blind eye to the consideration of respecting ethical and cultural traditions. This is called respect, probably as far away as the moon from "integration". My mother killed a chicken in the backyard and was called by the neighbors. The police came to educate her, and she left without doing anything. We don't blame our neighbors for meddling. They are not Asians. In their eyes, killing living animals to see blood is simply terrorism. According to the law, the police will arrest people for this kind of thing, but they can't help it because they know the customs of the Tang Dynasty.

This is not a problem inside or outside the system. When it comes to discipline and the rule of law, you will know that the authority of the law and the state machine is absolutely not allowed to be provoked and desecrated. This is a kind of relative freedom, which is worse than that in China. You will be punished if you don't obey (haha). But one thing, while you respect the state machine, the government also gives everyone full respect, which is what people who want to go abroad want. The so-called "difficulties after jumping out" are nothing more than economic aspects, but once the economy is in distress, people's governments show great superiority and give various guarantees, which is the weakest point in China. Of course, illegal immigrants can't enjoy these, so don't say it. A suggestion: If you are satisfied with your life in China, don't come. The new environment, not only the language, is brand-new. You are as ignorant as a newborn baby, but people give the baby time to grow up, but America doesn't give you time to adapt, so it's not easy. Be careful.

If there is anything particularly bad, it is that some people here are not used to life, and their relatives and friends are in China, where the land is vast and sparsely populated, and it is sultry. -African-American communities have poor public security, poor population quality and many guns. Social security is really not optimistic. We really should be careful of black people here. -and boasting about some people returning to China. Generally speaking, I met an acquaintance when I came home. He said that a friend of his is studying in America, so he can buy a Ferrari to wash dishes part-time. I thought, why am I so far away from Ferrari? These people are quite immoral, but they only meet the psychological needs of himself and some relatives and friends in China. Is this one of our cultural characteristics? It's hard to say.
