Is it visa-free to go to Thailand?

Thailand's cabinet meeting approved on the 22nd that from this year's 12 to next year's 1, visitors to Thailand will apply for tourist visas free of charge at local embassies and consulates in Thailand. Thailand will reduce the tourist visa fees for 19 countries and regions including China in the next three months.

Visitors to Thailand are free to apply for a tourist visa at the local Thai embassy or consulate. If tourists apply for visas on arrival in Thailand, the fee will be reduced from 2000 baht (about 388 RMB) to 1000 baht (about 194 RMB).

Thailand tourist visas include personal tourist visas and medical visas issued for patients receiving disease treatment and recuperation in Thai hospitals, both of which are valid for 3 months and can stay for 60 days. If you need to renew, you can go to the Immigration Bureau in Bangkok, Thailand, and the fee is 1900 baht (about 350 yuan RMB). However, it is not advisable to renew the tourist visa for many times, otherwise, if you are suspected of illegally staying in Thailand, you will be deported or your visa processing will be affected in the future.

Thai tourism officials said that the visa-free fee is aimed at attracting more overseas tourists in the next three months. It is estimated that this preferential policy will add 350,000 tourists to Thailand, and the tourism revenue will increase by 28 billion baht (about 5.4 billion yuan).
