See photo requirements for details. 3. Original receipt of visa application fee You can pay the visa application fee of RMB 780 at any branch of CITIC Industrial Bank in China. Please note that once paid, the application fee is non-refundable, even if the applicant is rejected or gives up the application. Applicants must present two copies of the original application fee receipt when submitting their visa application. Only visa applicants eligible for A-1, A-2, G-1, G-2, G-3, G-4, C-3, NATO (see the U.S. Embassy website for details) and U.S. government-sponsored visas are eligible Application fee is waived. 4. Completed DS-156 Non-immigrant Visa Application Form (required for all non-immigrant visa applicants). 5. Completed DS-157 Non-immigrant Visa Supplementary Information Form (required for non-immigrant visa applicants over 16 years old). The following documents can help the visa officer evaluate whether you intend to return to China: household register, ID card, employment certificate, pay stub that objectively reflects your monthly income, and a passbook with normal and regular deposit and withdrawal records. 2. Invitation letter: If you are invited to visit a resident of the United States, it will be helpful for your application to provide the following information: information about the inviter, purpose of visit to the United States, and pre-arranged travel schedule. If you are simply traveling to the United States, you do not need to present an invitation letter. 3. Proof of funds: Prove that you have the ability to pay for the entire stay in the United States without working, such as a pay stub that objectively reflects your monthly income, a passbook with normal and regular deposit and withdrawal records, etc. (Please note that bank deposit certificates are not helpful for the application.) 4. If you are going to the United States for business activities: Please consider bringing the following information to the interview: where you will visit, who you will meet, what will be discussed during the interview, and who you are What products are you planning to buy in the United States? The following documents may be helpful to the application: a detailed invitation letter issued by the U.S. partner stating the applicant’s purpose of visiting the United States; a contract or other agreement signed with the U.S. partner; machines, software or other equipment to be tested or purchased in the United States Information related to the equipment, such as product brochures or product catalogs, etc. 5. If you go to the United States to visit relatives: You should provide materials to prove that you have a real and uninterrupted relationship with the inviter. You should also consider providing their status after entering or immigrating to the United States. The following documents may be helpful to your application: household register or other documents that can prove true kinship, photos taken with relatives in the United States in recent years, copies of relatives’ U.S. passports or green cards, and copies of passports of relatives staying in the United States for a short period of time. And a copy of the US visa, etc. If you were last in the United States beyond the date stated on your I-94 card upon entry, please present the original Department of Homeland Security-approved extension certificate at your interview. In addition: Applicants for B1 and B2 visas must be able to prove that their intention is to enter the United States temporarily for the sole purpose of tourism and/or short-term business activity.
