Let's talk about "immigration consultants"
? Frankly speaking, the immigration consultant industry gives people the feeling that it is a place where scammers haunt. Even the Australian Immigration Bureau keeps instructing people on how to identify immigration scams. Some experiences of being cheated sound like the plot in a detective novel. It is undeniable that most of us have experienced the fact that if you ask different immigration consultants about the same visa, most people will get different answers, and if you ask different receptionists about the same visa, you will get different answers. Why is this happening? Because people who help you think have different angles and personal legal knowledge, and it seems that people with the same conditions can apply for visas completely differently. For example, you ask an immigration officer: What if there is no visa? It is completely normal for immigration officials to ask you to apply for a bridge visa and ask you to return to China, but it is completely normal for immigration lawyers or immigration consultants to ask you to submit a legal visa to stay in Australia. It is precisely because the answer to the same visa question is so flexible that it gives some people room to play with it.
? Perhaps because of the poor reputation of immigration consultants, you will often see some immigration consultants either hang up the signboard of "good old words" to show that they can stand the test of time, or take out successful cases and swear that they are "superior in ability", just for fear that others will not believe them. These practices, people who don't talk about watching feel tired, even those who watch, actually hurt their self-esteem.
? Unfortunately, I am also a member of the immigration consulting industry, and I have to bear the reputation of this industry, and it is 10 years. In fact, when I first started as an immigration consultant, I was always ready to pack my bags and quit. Why? Be questioned by customers every day, even the place of birth must be explained clearly. To be honest, this will be quite difficult for any professional to accept. Just when I turned to other aspects of legal work, I learned to think from the customer's point of view and gradually realized the fun of being an immigration consultant.
? My experience as an immigration consultant is: First of all, immigration consultants need extensive knowledge, not just legal knowledge, because the visa scheme proposed from the legal point of view is not necessarily the best scheme from the actual needs of customers. A customer may have several potential immigration methods, but what the customer needs is the most practical, economical and concise one, and the choice between these methods requires a little experience and knowledge. In addition, people who want to immigrate or come to Australia need not only visas, but also a group of people who need assistance in their work and life. When immigration consultants provide clients with the help they really need, the work of immigration consultants will eventually be recognized. In addition, immigration consultants need to update their legal knowledge every week. The current immigration policy changes every day. Without the attitude of diligently studying new laws, it is difficult to provide effective legal advice to guests.
? In fact, most customers can't get a permanent residence visa in Australia at one time, and often need to apply for two or more visas to complete the immigration step. Therefore, the most important duty of the immigration consultant is to think about how to let the guests complete the second or third step of immigration when preparing the first visa, otherwise even if they complete the first step, they may end up with nothing and lose money and time in vain. So in my eyes, immigration consultant is a demanding profession, and it is not easy to do it well.
