The Historical Evolution of Longjing

As early as ancient times, our ancestors lived a clan commune life in Longjing. Grinding stone tools, bone implements and pottery were unearthed in Xiang Dexin primitive cultural site and Longquan Cave in Shijing. The determination of unearthed charcoal shows that this is a site three or four thousand years ago.

Longjing City was located in Canghai and Xuantu counties in the Western Han Dynasty. During the Eastern Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period, it was a land of northern Japan, followed by Koguryo Zhan, which belonged to Koguryo. In the Western Jin Dynasty, it was a land of caution. In the Northern and Southern Dynasties, it was unlucky to quit, and the land belonged to the Baishan Department of Buji. The Northern Wei Dynasty was followed by an unlucky place. At the beginning of the Sui Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty, the land belonged to Buji White Mountain and Koguryo. During the Tang and Five Dynasties, it belonged to the virtuous mansion of Bohai Sea. The Liao Dynasty was the territory of the Jurchen Department of Xingxian Road in Tokyo. At the beginning of Jin Dynasty, it belonged to Shangjing Road Express Channel, then to Lazy Road, and then to Nanjing, the East Xia country. The Yuan Dynasty belonged to Wan Hu House, Kaiyuan Road, Nanjing. In the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to Nuergandus, Burhatu and other health clinics.

It is divided into six towns (Zhiren, Shangyi, Chongli, Shouxin, Yongzhi and Chunyang) and five streets (Juzi Street, Tongfo Temple Street, Wengsheng Lazi Street, Dongsheng Yongjie Street and Sanchakou Street).

1929, Yanji county government was renamed Yanji county government, and township was changed to district. 1932 after the founding of the puppet Manchukuo, Yanji county government was renamed Yanji county office, which was under the supervision department of Yanbian, Jilin province.
