Can Hubei people stranded in Thailand return?

Tourists from Hubei Province, China are very sensitive during the epidemic, and many places have indicated that they will persuade them to return. Hubei people stay abroad, can they come back after the quarantine period? Thailand responded to everyone's request for detention time.

Earlier, the latest document issued by the National Immigration Bureau of Thailand showed that due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus, the China government ordered the closure of Wuhan, Huanggang and Ezhou airports from June 23rd, resulting in a large number of China tourists unable to return home and stranded at Thai airports.

In this regard, in order to solve the urgent needs of tourists, the Immigration Bureau decided to exempt Thai tourists from fines for detention for the above reasons in accordance with Article 54 of the Entry-Exit Administration Law.

According to the Immigration Bureau of Thailand, China tourists stranded in Thailand due to the closure of Wuhan, Huanggang and Ezhou airports have been exempted from detention fines. From now on, the scope of application of the above policy will be extended to all China citizens who enter the country with tourist visas or visas on arrival and are stranded in Thailand due to the novel coronavirus epidemic. The specific procedures will be handled directly when leaving the country. Thailand stressed that the introduction of this temporary policy does not mean that China citizens can stay in Thailand for a long time at will.

It should be noted that this measure is only applicable to return air tickets and China tourists whose destinations are indeed the cities around the closed airport, as well as tourists from the truly affected areas. Other China tourists who fail to close the airport area will still be fined as usual.

As all flights in and out of Wuhan were grounded, China Southern cancelled 65,438 flights in and out of Wuhan on June 24th, resulting in nearly 7,000 tourists stranded at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

In order to provide convenience for China tourists who can't return to Wuhan due to the cancellation of flights, Suvarnabhumi Airport set up an "Assistance Center" in Room CIP5 on the 3rd floor of the passenger terminal from/kloc-0 to February 9th.
