So what can we do?
The best salvation can only be transferred to spiritual pursuits, or deep cultivation in a certain field of interest.
The upper limit of the pursuit of pleasure is really too low, but the spiritual pursuit allows you to pursue it throughout your life. More importantly, it does not waste time, money (depending on the situation), or body. .
I am a person who has very low pursuit of material things. I have very few entertainment activities. My only enjoyment may be drinking coffee, but drinking coffee is also for spiritual pursuit to some extent. There are more Spend energy reading and creating.
However, the brain is an extremely energy-consuming organ:
