What is the additional IELTS score sheet used for? Is it necessary to use the additional score sheet when applying to school?

The additional IELTS score report refers to the score report obtained after multiple exams. Generally, submit your best scores to the school you are applying for. The several test scores left behind refer to additional transcripts. Transcripts need to be submitted to the visa officer when applying for the visa.

When applying to schools, you do not need to use additional transcripts, but you must submit the IELTS transcript with the highest score to the school you are applying for.

First of all, each candidate only has one copy of the original IELTS score report and will not be replaced if it is lost. For the vast majority of students who take the IELTS test and need to use multiple IELTS score reports to apply for foreign institutions or apply for immigration, they need to apply to the IELTS test center. This score report is the so-called "IELTS additional score report". There is no difference from the original score report, but this additional IELTS score report cannot be mailed to the individual candidate, but can only be mailed to the designated relevant institution. For example: foreign universities, professional institutions, government departments, visa offices of embassies and consulates of various countries (except the United Kingdom and Australia) and other related institutions.

Before the IELTS registration deadline, we can log in to the official IELTS registration website and fill in the specific shipping address, up to 5 copies, all for free. If you apply after the IELTS registration deadline, you can log in to the official IELTS Chinese website to apply online for delivery. There is no limit to the number of copies. The handling fee is RMB 60 per copy.

All applications for additional IELTS score reports sent to Chinese colleges/institutions require supporting documents. The system will ask you to upload supporting documents issued by the school/institution to explain the reason for requiring an IELTS score report, which will be sent after review by the British Council. Please note that the file format requirements are .JPG, .JPEG, .PDF, and the size does not exceed 4M.
