What districts are there in Shanghai?

Shanghai is a municipality directly under the central government of China, which has jurisdiction over 16 districts. History of Shanghai:

Shanghai is a famous historical and cultural city in China, with profound modern urban culture and numerous historical sites. The traditional culture of wuyue in the south of the Yangtze River and the multi-culture brought by immigrants from all over the country have merged together to form a unique Shanghai-style culture.

The history of Shanghai can be traced back to around 6000 BC. Now the western part of Shanghai has become land, and the eastern part has been land for 2000 years. Shanghai in the Spring and Autumn Period belonged to the State of Wu, while Shanghai in the Warring States Period belonged to the State of Yue first and then to the State of Chu.

During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Shanghai was the fief of Huang Xie, the king of Chu, so it was called Shen. In the Jin Dynasty, because fishermen created fishing tools, the place where the river flowed into the sea was called blasphemy, so the lower reaches of Songjiang were called blasphemy, and later it was changed to Shanghai, so Shanghai was called Shanghai for short.
