Photo requirements for Hong Kong and Macao Pass

The photo of Hong Kong and Macao Pass requires a two-inch bareheaded plane color recent photo, and a dark collared shirt with a blue background. The photo size is 48× 33mm, the head width is 2 1-24mm, and the head length is 28-33mm. Photos require clear portraits, distinct layers, rich layers, natural expressions and dark tops. One-time quick photos, remake photos or photos printed by various color printers are not accepted. Photos must be taken in a photo studio designated by the Public Security Bureau or at the entry and exit. For the first time, you must submit your application in person to the exit-entry administration office where your account is located. The application materials include the resident ID card and its photocopy, which can be copied on A4 paper, the application form for entry and exit documents of China citizens, and two 2-inch light-colored photos. At the same time, you can apply for endorsements to and from Hong Kong and Macao respectively. If you only go to Hong Kong, you have to apply for a Hong Kong endorsement; if you only go to Macao, you have to apply for a Macao endorsement. If you go to Hong Kong and Macao, you must apply for both endorsements.

Citizens of China who leave the country for private purposes may apply to the municipal or county public security organs where their registered permanent residence is located, except in the circumstances specified in Article 8 of this Law.

The public security organ shall, within the specified time, make a decision on whether to approve or disapprove the application of China citizens to leave the country privately, and notify the applicant.

Article 17

Measures for the administration of China citizens' travel between Hongkong and Macau shall be formulated separately by the relevant departments of the State Council.
