The ancestors of Tianjin people
Most of Tianjin's urban areas are descendants of Anhui soldiers. In the Ming Dynasty, Judy, the prince of Yan, led the old, weak and disabled soldiers recruited from Anhui, took their families to defend Tianjin (then called Zhigu) and launched the Jingnan War to seize the throne. These Tianjin people basically killed all the people in the surrounding Hebei province.
After Judy, the prince of Yan, seized the throne, she was given the name Tianjin Wei. These Anhui soldiers stayed in Tianjin and multiplied, forming the original Tianjin people.
The Jingnan War is recorded in the history book.
"Nine times out of ten, the village was destroyed, leaving only 1 12 people." "Chun Yan's return, no fixed place to live, a thousand miles away from the bare land, white bones, shocking."
Li Hongzhang and Yuan Shikai trained in Beiyang (near tianjin railway station) and recruited Anhui soldiers. Most of these Anhui soldiers stayed in Tianjin to reproduce. Therefore, most of Tianjin urban areas are descendants of Anhui soldiers.
