How long does it take to apply for a work visa abroad?

Entry and exit visas depend on the location, and the visa time varies from place to place:

1. It takes 1-3 working days to apply for a visa in Southeast Asia;

2. It takes 5-7 working days to apply for a Japanese-Korean visa;

3. It takes 7- 10 working days for visas from other Asian countries;

4. Generally, it takes 5 working days for each embassy to review European visas, but an appointment is required in advance. (The appointment period is 30 days long and 1-2 days short);

5. The results can be known within 1 working day of the US-Canada visa, but an interview is required one month in advance;

6. African visas take 7- 15 working days, such as Egypt, South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya.

Visa is the annotation and seal of the sovereign organ of a country on the passport or other travel documents held by its own or foreign citizens to show that they are allowed to enter or leave the country or pass through it. It can also be said that it is an endorsement certificate issued to them.

Generally speaking, a visa is a document issued by a country's entry-exit administration (such as immigration bureau or its embassy or consulate abroad) to approve the entry of foreign citizens.

Visas are generally endorsed on passports, some are endorsed on other travel documents instead of passports, and some are issued separately. For example, immigration visas in the United States and Canada are A4 paper, and Singapore also issues separate paper visas to foreigners. Generally speaking, a visa must be used at the same time as a passport to be valid.

Hong Kong and Macao passes and endorsements can be handled together for the first time. The required time is about 15 working days.

Only the endorsement is needed for the second time, which will greatly reduce the processing time. If you are in Shanghai, you may get an endorsement in 1 days. Other regions may need 7- 10 working days.

However, if it is in a local area, such as a small county, the time for processing the endorsement may be longer, and 15 working days is also acceptable.

Because each country has different regulations on the management of foreigners, the standards for visa approval may be different. If the visa country is more stringent, it will definitely take a long time, which means that the visa time in different regions will change.

Legal basis:

Passport Law of the People's Republic of China Article 5 Citizens who go abroad for non-official reasons, such as settling abroad, visiting relatives, studying, working, traveling and engaging in business activities, shall apply for an ordinary passport to the exit-entry administration of the public security organ of the local people's government at or above the county level where their household registration is located.

Article 6 When applying for an ordinary passport, citizens shall submit their identity cards, household registration books, recent bareheaded photos and relevant materials explaining the reasons for their application. State functionaries who leave the country to apply for an ordinary passport for reasons specified in Article 5 of this Law shall also submit relevant supporting documents in accordance with relevant state regulations.

The exit-entry administrative organ of the public security organ shall issue an ordinary passport within fifteen days from the date of receiving the application materials; Do not meet the conditions, it shall explain the reasons in writing, and inform the applicant of the right to apply for administrative reconsideration or bring an administrative lawsuit according to law.

In remote areas or areas with inconvenient transportation or due to special circumstances, passports cannot be issued on schedule, and the issuance time can be extended to 30 days with the approval of the person in charge of the passport issuing organ.

If a citizen requests emergency treatment due to a reasonable emergency, the exit-entry administration organ of the public security organ shall handle it in time.
