When was Goguryeo founded and when did it fall?
In 108 BC, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty established four counties to govern Liaodong and the northern part of the Korean Peninsula. Among them, Xuantu County and Goguryeo County were the settlements of the Goguryeo people. In 37 BC, Jumong of Fuyu established the Goguryeo regime here. At its peak, its sphere of influence included southeastern Jilin, east of the Liaohe River and the northern part of the Korean Peninsula. In 668 AD, it was destroyed by the Tang Dynasty and Silla in the southeastern part of the Korean Peninsula.
