Kuancheng county history and culture

In the 20th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1387), Duke Feng of Song took Songtingguan (now xifengkou) to build four cities, namely Daning, He Kuan, Huizhou and Fuyu, and later changed Hekuancheng to Kuancheng. Kuancheng County was founded in 1963. Now it belongs to Chengde area.

1997, Kuancheng Manchu Autonomous County covers an area of 1952 square kilometers and has a population of 232,000, of which Manchu140,000 accounts for 62% of the total population.
