There are three major ports in Fujian: Quanzhou Port, Fuzhou Port and Xiamen Port.

Quanzhou Port, known as "Erythrina Port" in ancient times, is the starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road in China and the largest port in the world in ancient China. Fuzhou Port is located in the southeast of Chinese mainland, on the west bank of Taiwan Strait. It is one of the major coastal hub ports in Chinese mainland, a major coastal foreign trade port and an important port for Fujian-Taiwan trade. Fuzhou port consists of estuary port and seaport. Hekou Port is located in the lower reaches of Minjiang River, and its outlets are distributed in deep-water harbors such as Fuqing Bay and Luoyuan Bay on the north and south wings of Minjiang Estuary. Fuzhou Port is one of the 20 major hub ports along the coast of China, and has developed trade with ports in more than 40 countries and regions around the world.

Xiamen Port is located between Shanghai and Guangdong, in Jinmen Bay, southeast of Fujian Province, at the mouth of Jiulong River. It faces the East China Sea, is close to the Taiwan Province Strait, and faces Taiwan Province Province and Penghu Islands across the sea. It is the gateway to Fujian, an important port in the southeast of China. It has the advantages of wide harbor, deep water, no icing, less fog, less siltation and good shelter from the wind. 10,000-ton ships can enter and leave at any time, and are not affected by tides. It mainly undertakes the foreign trade transportation tasks in Xiamen and Fujian provinces, and also undertakes the transit tasks of some materials in Jiangxi Province.
