The Second Corps of the National Immigration Bureau is a deputy ministerial unit. The National Immigration Bureau was established in accordance with the institutional reform plan of the State Council approved by the first session of the 13th National People's Congress, and is managed by the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China.
The establishment of the national public security frontier defense forces in active service has all been transformed into the people's police establishment, which is led by the State Immigration Bureau (People's Republic of China (PRC) Exit-Entry Administration). Coordinate the formulation and implementation of immigration policies, be responsible for entry and exit management, port certificate inspection and border people's exchanges management, be responsible for foreigners' stay and permanent residence management, refugee management and nationality management, take the lead in coordinating and managing "three non-"foreigners and repatriating illegal immigrants, be responsible for China citizens' entry and exit service management for personal reasons, and undertake international cooperation in the field of immigration.
