Woven into a bowl-shaped artificial nest with a diameter of 1 1 cm and a depth of 5 cm with grass or bamboo filaments, and hung above the breeding cage. The mouth of the food tank and water tank set in the cage should be large, the bass bar should be flat and round, and the bottom of the cage should be covered with fine sand.

Canary's daily feed is millet, barnyard grass, corn flour, rapeseed, apples, vegetables and so on. Several kinds of feeds can be mixed, such as 2 parts of millet, 7 parts of barnyard grass and rape 1 part. When the source of barnyard grass is difficult, millet or millet can be used instead. Apples must be cut into small pieces and vegetables must be chopped. In winter or molting period, the feed ratio is 2 parts of millet, 6 parts of barnyard grass and 2 parts of rape (perilla). Before mating, parents began to feed eggs and millet, and continued to supply estrus feed and bone meal after closing the cage. Stop using the above feed after hatching and add 20% rapeseed and perilla seeds. After the chicks hatch, provide them with egg yolk noodles (a cooked egg yolk, 120g millet or corn flour), green vegetables and oyster shell powder.

Management requirements are higher than those of ordinary caged ornamental birds. Remove the excrement at the bottom of the cage 2-3 times a week, brush the food tank and water tank once a day and replace them with fresh food and water, wash the perch pen every three days, take a bath at least once a week, and trim the claw nails in time. If the canary is exposed to direct sunlight for a long time, its feathers will fade, and the Rhone canary will sing loudly, which will make the song stiff, so it is enough to bask in the soft sunshine for one hour every day. In summer nights, it is best to cover the birdcage to prevent mosquito bites.

Every day from July to August is the molting period of canaries. The weak often die, and the healthy are also prone to illness. Therefore, in addition to adding 10% rapeseed and squid bone powder for feeding, it is necessary to avoid blowing alone and contact with the outside world as little as possible.
