Even illegal residents, 1 generation compatriots with domestic hukou, their spouses and unmarried children, and the spouses and unmarried children of 1 generation compatriots who have recovered Korean nationality can also restore their nationality.

In addition, independent heroes, national heroes, great-grandchildren and relatives of their lovers can acquire nationality as long as they prove their kinship, whether they live in China or not, and whether they have the ability to earn a living or not. A related person from the Ministry of Justice said that it is estimated that the number of China compatriots applying for Korean citizenship will reach about 1 000.

It is also easy for foreigners to join Korean nationality.

The government originally stipulated that even if you married a Korean and lived in China for more than two years, your Korean lover died or divorced him, you were not eligible to become a Korean citizen. But this time, such foreigners will be allowed to apply for membership.
