Police resignation procedure

According to the Interim Provisions on Resignation and Dismissal of National Civil Servants, resignation shall be handled according to the following procedures:

1. One person who resigns shall fill in the Application Form for Resignation in quadruplicate and submit it to the relevant functional departments of the unit.

2. After receiving the application for resignation, the unit shall review or approve it according to the situation. For the unapproved resignation application, the unit should fill in the relevant columns in the Resignation Application Form to check whether the relevant information is true; For resignation applications that need to be approved, fill in the opinions on whether to approve or not. 3. Upon examination or approval of resignation, the unit shall fill in the Notice on the Transfer of Resignation Personnel File, together with the personal file of the resignee and another Resignation Application Form, and hand it over to the talent exchange service institution affiliated to the personnel department of the government at the same level.

4. The personnel exchange service organization affiliated to the personnel department of the government receives the materials transferred by the unit where the resigned personnel work, fills in the receipt after checking them correctly, and completes the transfer of the personnel files of the resigned personnel.

If a national civil servant resigns, the appointment and removal organ shall examine and approve it within three months after receiving the application form. If no reply is given within three months, it shall be deemed that you agree to resign, and the appointment and removal organ shall handle the resignation procedures. National civil servants shall not leave their posts without authorization during the examination and approval of resignation. Those who leave their posts without authorization shall be dismissed and may not be rehired to work in China.
