As for Sakhalin Island, China calls it Sakhalin Island. To recover Sakhalin Island, we must at least recover the area east of Wusuli River, otherwise Sakhalin Island may not be recovered at all.

Russia is currently a federal system, and the whole country is divided into several autonomous regions and autonomous prefectures. Every autonomous republic can become an independent country as long as it goes through a referendum. Once Russia disintegrates like the Soviet Union or the China government instigates alienation to make it independent and establishes a pro-China government, it will gradually be shelved and merged into China.
