Instructions for applying for tourist visa (Chinese citizens only)

To apply for a tourist visa, you need to go to the embassy in person, except for the following circumstances: Applicants under 16 years old can apply for it on their behalf, but they must issue a certificate proving their relationship. Notarized birth certificate or household register (original and copy); If the applicant is retired, he or she can entrust someone else to handle the matter (a letter of authorization indicating the name and ID number of the entrusted person is required.) If the applicant is a Singapore citizen or permanent If a resident provides a guarantee, please refer to Article 5.

To apply for a tourist visa, you must provide the following materials. The embassy has the right to require the applicant to provide other materials when necessary: ??

1. The applicant's passport is valid for at least six months (calculated from the date of departure) and has at least one blank visa page.

2. A Form 14 filled in English (each item on pages 1 and 2 of the form must be filled in, and page 3 must be signed by the applicant himself and marked with the date of application). 4. If the applicant does not have a job, he or she must provide the original and a copy of the household registration booklet. Original documents will be returned to the applicant after being reviewed. Applicants can also provide relevant documents to prove their return to China as scheduled, such as bank deposits proving sufficient funds.

5. If the applicant is guaranteed by a Singapore citizen or Singapore permanent resident in China, there is no need to comply with the provisions of Articles 3 and 4 above. However, the guarantor needs to submit the application in person to the embassy and provide the completed V39A form and a copy of the guarantor’s ID card.

6. The visa fee is RMB 102 per person.

7. A tourist visa is generally valid for 5 weeks from the date of issuance. Visa holders can enter and exit Singapore multiple times within 5 weeks. The number of days of each stay is determined by the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority officials, and the maximum length of stay shall not exceed 30 days.

8. The visa application process takes three working days.

9. Applicants may be required to pay a security deposit of RMB 5,100 per person before the application is approved. The embassy will notify the applicant to pay the guarantee deposit on the second working day after accepting the application. Applicants need to indicate their home number or mobile phone number in the upper left corner of the application form.

Important Notes

2. The original application materials will be returned to the applicant immediately after review at the visa window.

3. Unfilled forms, incomplete materials or non-compliance with requirements may result in visa rejection or delay in acceptance.

4. Whether the visa application is approved and the validity period of the approval are determined by the visa officer based on the individual situation of the applicant.

5. Applicants should purchase air tickets after visa approval. The Singapore Embassy is not responsible for any financial losses caused by not being approved for visas due to tickets purchased in advance.

6. The issuance date of a visa is generally the date of visa application. Once the visa is issued, its validity period will not be changed. Applicants should not submit application materials prematurely. If the visa has expired, the applicant must resubmit the application materials. Applicants should carefully check the issuance date and visa validity period when collecting their visa.

7. Visa holders may not necessarily be able to enter Singapore. Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority officers have the right to decide whether to enter the country. Visa holders must meet entry requirements before being allowed entry, such as a valid passport, sufficient funds and a round-trip air ticket.

8. The Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority officials determine the number of days of stay for visa holders when they enter the country. Applicants should check the entry stamp in their passport and the approved period of stay.

Instructions for deposit payment

Applicants who are required to pay a deposit will be notified by the embassy to complete the payment procedures on the second working day after submitting the application form. Applicants need to get a two-couplet payment slip (the payment slip needs to be filled with their name, deposit date, ID number and contact number) and go to counter No. 16-18 on the first floor of the Bank of China Head Office to deposit a security deposit of RMB 5. After paying 100 yuan, go to the embassy to apply for a visa again with the first copy of the payment receipt (reply receipt) stamped by the bank and the completed letter of guarantee signed by the applicant. According to relevant laws of Singapore, applicants must not violate the following regulations: After the tourist visa expires, they are not allowed to stay in Singapore; They are not allowed to seek long-term residence in Singapore; They are not allowed to work (paid or unpaid), do business or participate in Other professional activities and activities that are not conducive to the security of Singapore; Drug abuse, smuggling or selling of drugs is not allowed;

Guarantee deposit refund instructions

1. When you enter Singapore, please take the initiative to show your passport and tourist visa card. When you leave the country, the Singapore Border Control Officer will take back your visa card and stamp your passport with an exit stamp. If your visa card has not been taken back, please take the initiative to hand it over to the border inspection station officer.

2. The security deposit can only be refunded after the embassy receives notification from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority. Applicants can call for consultation one month after leaving Singapore. After receiving confirmation, they can make an appointment to collect the guarantee deposit. 3. Please go to the embassy to collect the cash check at the designated time, and cash it at counter No. 19-24 on the first floor of the Bank of China Head Office.

4. If the applicant cannot handle the deposit refund procedure in person: the applicant can issue a power of attorney and attach a copy of the trustee's ID card. The authorized person comes to the embassy to complete the formalities with the power of attorney, a copy of the applicant's passport and the deposit receipt.

5. If the applicant does not go to Singapore within the validity period of the visa: I need to come to the embassy with my passport, visa card, receipt and a letter of explanation written by me. Only after confirmation can I make an appointment to collect the guarantee deposit.

6. If the receipt is lost: The applicant must submit the loss certificate from the Public Security Bureau or the relevant notarial certificate to prove it.

7. If the visa card is not returned or the embassy has not obtained refund authorization from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority: Make copies of the deposit receipt, the first page of the passport and the visa page with entry and departure stamps, and send them to This embassy. After receiving your refund application, the embassy will send a letter to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority to inquire for you. This takes more than two months.
