What is the ethnic group after the household registration of ethnic minorities is moved to the Han nationality?

Legal analysis: the father is Han nationality, the mother is a minority nationality, and the child's household registration book is filled with Han nationality. Now it's ok to change to a minority.

Before reaching the age of 18, the ethnic composition should be agreed by parents. Citizens who need to change their ethnic composition may apply to the public security organ where their household registration is located.

Legal basis: Provisions of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, the leading group of the fourth national census in the State Council and the Ministry of Public Security on determining the ethnic composition of citizens in China.

Article 2 The ethnic composition of an individual can only be determined according to the ethnic composition of his father or mother, and it cannot be traced back, let alone linked horizontally.

(4) Before reaching the age of 20, the adoptee may change the ethnic composition according to the requirements of the ethnic composition of the adoptive parents;

(5) If citizens of different nationalities remarry, their children may change their ethnic composition according to the ethnic composition confirmed by their stepfather (mother) before reaching the age of 18, and inform their biological father (mother). Stepchildren who have reached the age of 18 will not change their original ethnic composition;

(six) in the transfer of household registration, the replacement of household registration books and the census, the ethnic composition is filled in incorrectly.

In line with the above provisions, if an individual citizen requests to change or correct the ethnic composition, he shall submit a written application and valid documents (household registration book, household registration certificate, marriage certificate, adoption disability certificate, unit personnel department or subdistrict office certificate, and township people's government certificate) to the county (district) Religious Affairs Bureau where the household registration is changed.
