In order to promote the balanced development of compulsory education and promote education equity, according to the Opinions of the State Council on Further Promoting the Balanced Development of Compulsory Education (Guo Fa [2012] No.48) and the Interim Measures for the Supervision and Evaluation of the Balanced Development of Compulsory Education in Counties of the Ministry of Education, and according to the applications submitted by local assessments, the situation of counties (cities, districts) with basically balanced development of compulsory education in China is determined. The list of counties (cities, districts) whose compulsory education development is basically balanced in 20 18 years to be identified by the State Council Education Steering Committee will be publicized.
