Historical evolution of Shuozhou

Ancient sites such as Zhiyu, Bianyao and Emaokou in Shuozhou City prove that people lived here as early as the late Paleolithic period (about 28,000 years ago).

Before the Spring and Autumn Period (770- 476 BC), there lived the Northern Emperor, a minority nationality. During the Warring States period, it was incorporated into the territory of Zhao State.

In the thirty-second year of Qin Shihuang (2 15 BC), Meng Tian, commander of the frontier fortress, built a famous Mayi town here, which is located in Mayi County and belongs to Yanmen County.

During the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC-AD 9), Mayi County (now Shuocheng District), Zhong Ling County (now Pinglu District), Ju Yang County (now Yingxian County), Yinting (now southeast of Shuocheng District), Wang Tao (now Shanyin County), Liexian County (south of Shuocheng District) and Loufan (southwest of Shuocheng District) during the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 2008). At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, people fled and most counties were abandoned.

In the Western Jin Dynasty (AD 266-3 16), people from counties north of Yuling (now Yanmenguan) were evacuated to Lingnan, and the land was returned to King Tuoba Louis. The Northern Wei Dynasty (386 ~ 557) belonged to the mainland of Kyrgyzstan, and governed Sanggan County (now Yinshandong), Fanshi County (now Yingxiandong) and Mayi County. In the sixth year of Tianbao in the Northern Qi Dynasty (555), Shuozhou was moved from Lesheng (now Helinger County, Inner Mongolia) to the southwest of Mayi. In the eighth year of Tianbao in the Northern Qi Dynasty (557), Mayi County was changed to Zhaoyuan County to govern Shuozhou, which was the beginning of the name of Shuozhou.

In the Northern Zhou Dynasty (557-58 1), Shuozhou was promoted to the presidential system.

The Sui Dynasty (58 1-6 18) abandoned the general government and changed it to Mayi County, which governed Shuyang (formerly Shuoxian County), Kaiyang (south of Shuocheng District) and SHEN WOO (Yin Shan and Yingxian County).

In the fourth year of Tang Wude (62 1), Mayi was changed to Shuozhou. In the first year of Tang Tianbao (742), Shuozhou was changed to Mayi County. At the beginning of the Tang Dynasty, the Datong Army was located in Mayi County. In the third year of Huichang (843), he was changed to the ambassador of Datong, commanding the three states of Yun (now Datong), Wei (now Yuxian, Hebei) and Shuo (now Mayi). In the ninth year of Xian Tong (868), he reset our time in Datong and moved to Yunzhou (now Datong). In the Five Dynasties, it was located in Jincheng, the birthplace of Tang Mingzong, and Zhou Huan was located in Shuozhou (now Xiyingcheng Temple in Shuocheng District). In the first year of Tianfu at the end of Jin Dynasty (936), Shuozhou, Zhou Huan and Yingzhou were ceded to Qidan.

During the Liao Dynasty (9 16 ~ 1 125), Shuozhou was Shunyi Military Festival and Yingzhou was Zhang Junjun Festival, which belonged to Xijing Road. The gold is still there. Datong Road, Yuanlishan West Road.

During the Ming Dynasty (1368 ~ 1644), Shuozhou was placed under the jurisdiction of Datong Prefecture, which governed Mayi County and Yingzhou County. During the Qing Dynasty (1644—19 12), it was established along the Ming Dynasty. In the third year of Yongzheng (1725), Shuoping House was established (ruling Youyu), which governed Youyu County, Zuoyun County, Pinglu County, Ningyuan Hall, Shuozhou County and Mayi County. Huairen, Yingzhou and Yinshan were assigned to Datong Prefecture.

In the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), the state was changed to a county, and Yanmen Road was transferred to Shanxi Province. War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression is bounded by Tongpu Road, the west of which belongs to Jinsui Border Region, and the east of which belongs to Jinchaji Border Region.

1946, Shuo county was liberated, returned to Chahar province, and People's Republic of China (PRC) was founded.

1952 Chahar Province was revoked and returned to Shanxi Province, belonging to Yanbei District. 1958 changed to northern Shanxi. 196 1 year returned to Yanbei area. 1989 65438+ 10, the State Council approved the designation of Shuozhou county, Pinglu county and Shanyin county from the former Yanbei area, and officially established the city on 1989 65438+ 10.

1July, 993, the original Yanbei area was revoked, and Yingxian County, Youyu County and Huairen County were under the jurisdiction of Shuozhou City.
