H: I learned from the Internet that your major is Chinese Department, but according to our previous chat, you should have been engaged in literary creation for a period of time before graduation. Can you tell me what your first job was?

Chen: I started my literary creation in college, and I got a reward. I am too conceited to revise my works according to the literary trend of thought and political inclination at that time, so I can't come out like those clever writers. But now I can compare my works with theirs, which is no worse than some famous writers in China later. Because of my conceit, I graduated from college and was assigned to a rural middle school as a teacher with punishment. My first job was to be a teacher.

H: mm-hmm I see, you didn't enter the mainstream literary circle at that time, and you can only be regarded as an amateur creator at most. Have you kept the works at that time until now?

Chen: Basically not, because after going abroad, almost everything disappeared.

H: What kind of works did you originally create? Is it also a novel?

Chen: Although I started to write poems, I didn't write novels because I didn't think it was meaningful.

H: What made you decide to go abroad?

Chen: Because I can't get along in China. ...
