Alexandria * * * *: Also known as Alexandria and El Hisquin Daria * * * is a port on the middle coast of Egypt, the most important seaport in Egypt, the second largest city in Egypt and the capital of Alexandria. The main export commodities are cotton, ore, fruit, syrup, salt, textiles, grains, ships, cotton yarn, clay and agricultural products. The main commodities entering Japan are steel, automobiles, tea, coffee, wood, light and heavy machinery, tobacco and industrial products. Every year, 80% ~ 90% of Egypt's foreign trade goods transit through Hong Kong.
Alexander's famous cultural relics include the Alexandria-Faroe Lighthouse and the Alexandria Library. The former is one of the seven wonders of the world, but it was destroyed by an earthquake. The latter is the royal library of Ptolemy royal family, which was destroyed by fire during Cleopatra VII and rebuilt during the Roman dynasty.
