Where is Yongquan Village in Haiji County?

Yongquan Village in Haiji County is a fictional place in the TV series Ningmin Town, which does not exist.

The film crew in Ningmin Town spent more than two months building a "village" made of adobe on the Gobi Desert in the most primitive way, just like the immigrants of that year. More than 20 courtyards, large and small, scattered on both sides of the road, restored the "Ningmin Village" in the 1990s (then called Yuquanying Jintan Village).

The other half of the main scene in the play is Yongquan Village, and the landmark building is the village name wall made of adobe. Yongquan Village is a village in Haiji County. However, Haiji County is a fictional place name, which may be the general name of Haiyuan County and Xiji County, or the name of the whole Xihaigu area.

The shooting location is obviously not the real Xihaigu area, and there is no real Yongquan Village. It's just the names of all the poor villages in Xihaigu area, so it's impossible to find a real Yongquan village.

Diaozhuang, another place in Ningmin Town.

Diaozhuang is a local saying. Because of the terrain, the local villagers have to go far away to cultivate crops and catch up with the busy farming season, so they simply dig a pit near the crops to build a shack, or it is similar to the shack that the villagers lived in when they first arrived in Jintan Village from Yongquan Village (the kind that Huashui dug when he first arrived in Jintan Village). Such a temporary residence is called Diaozhuang.

Diaozhuang migration is a national migration project, which began in the early 1980s. In fact, it is similar to the relocation of poverty alleviation in different places, and the poor farmers in Xihaigu area are moved to the ex situ irrigation area in northern Ningxia. Of course, at the beginning, many families organized the main labor force to open up wasteland in Yinchuan, but their families stayed in their hometown.
