What are the conditions for permanent residence in Hungary?

1. Immigrants, settlers or political asylum seekers, as well as holders of EGT residence permits, can apply for citizenship after eight years of continuous residence in Hungary.

2. No criminal record (verified by the nationality management department).

3. Guarantee the residence and life in Hungary, and provide relevant certificates (such as real estate license or lease contract).

Applying for citizenship will not harm Hungary's interests.

5. Pass the basic knowledge examination of Hungarian Constitution.
