Studying in the United States: O- 1 Work visa application requirements

O- 1 visa is a visa issued to those who have outstanding talents in science, art, education, business or sports to work in the United States. There is no quota limit, and it is a new visa created by American immigration law 1990. Applicants must have outstanding talents, and their American employers must be able to provide jobs that match their talents. "Outstanding talent" does not mean having general professional and technical knowledge, but rather having strong research ability, outstanding contribution or national and even international reputation in a certain field.

O- 1 visa issuance 1. Outstanding achievers. Anyone who wins a recognized international prize, such as the Nobel Prize, can be regarded as an outstanding achievement unconditionally. Other meet the following three conditions, as excellent:

(1) has won national awards or rewards for outstanding performance;

(2) As a member of relevant industry associations, you can only join if you have achieved excellent performance;

(3) Having been introduced or reported by professional publications, trade publications or major media;

(4) now or ever as a group or individual to participate in the industry evaluation of others. For example, judges of professional competitions or jury members or judges of academic awards;

(5) Pioneering or outstanding innovative contributions in the fields of science, academia, commerce, art or education;

(6) the author of professional academic works or articles;

(seven) once or once held a key or important position in the organization;

(eight) has been or is receiving high salary or special remuneration; 2. Film and television workers

Any film and television worker who has won American or international film awards, television awards and related awards or been nominated for such awards is regarded as an outstanding person. These awards mainly include Oscar, Emmy TV Award, Grammy Record Award, Directors Association Award, Cannes Film Award and so on. If you have not received such awards or nominations, you must meet the following three conditions:

(1) Play the leading role or starring role in an important film or TV work;

(2) domestic or international people who have been recognized in important comments or publications;

(3) It played a leading or important role in the formation of an institution in the past, present or in the near future;

(4) Participated in successful films in business or critical circles;

(5) Being recognized as excellent by relevant associations, critics, government agencies or authoritative experts;

(6) The salary or remuneration obtained is extremely high.

3. The ability required by the job is outstanding. Meet one of the following conditions, meet the requirements:

(1) The work or service provided must be related to major events, production or activities.

(2) Must play the leading role, leading role or important role in film production.

(3) Its work must have a substantial relationship with scientific research or educational projects, academic conferences, congresses, lectures or exhibitions sponsored by veritable scientific research or educational institutions;

(4) Its work is essentially to implement a comprehensive business project, which needs to be undertaken by an administrative supervisor, manager or senior technical personnel with outstanding talents.

Application procedures and required materials 0- 1 Visa application must be first employed by an American employer, provide a job that meets the requirements, and submit an application to the Immigration Bureau together with the applicant's personal materials. After the approval of the Immigration Bureau, the applicant shall apply for an entry visa to the embassy or consulate with the approval notice from the Civil Affairs Bureau.
