At present, the water quality of Hongfeng Lake has been greatly restored. In a word, the water quality of Hongfeng Lake has remained unchanged for 30 years after the completion of the reservoir, and then changed from good to bad with the development of local economy. Finally, with the process of pollution control from poor to good, it is very clear that the deterioration of reservoir water body is the result of excessive discharge of pollutants, which is not directly related to the construction of the reservoir. Engineering geological experts believe that this kind of landslide and collapse will be obviously improved after the development of Nujiang hydropower. Because the huge water flow that cuts the valley every day will be used to generate electricity, the depth of the valley will not increase, but it may also produce siltation, and the slopes on both sides of the river do not have to collapse to adapt to the deepening valley, so geological disasters such as landslides and bank collapse can be fundamentally controlled. This is a very simple truth. Environmentalists who oppose the development of Nujiang hydropower always pretend to deny the fact that the landslide and collapse of Nujiang River are extremely serious at present. Instead, they like to say that hydropower development in Nujiang River will cause "landslide and collapse". The statement that "ecological immigrants become ecological refugees" is a deliberate rumor. As for the statement that the lower reaches of the Nujiang River are cut off and the local microclimate cycle is interrupted, it is even more strange. Many environmentalists like to use this specious opposition to hydropower development, but they don't want to think that the turbine opportunity of hydropower station will not become a black hole in the universe, devouring hundreds of millions of water bodies? The fact is simple. As long as there is no water diversion and supply task, the hydropower station itself will never consume one cubic meter of water.
