Are there any language requirements for studying in Thailand?
As a necessary condition for studying abroad, language is something that everyone should meet. Do you need Thai or English to study in Thailand? Let's explain Thailand's language requirements.
First, the college entrance examination
In schools in Thailand, international students are generally not required to have any requirements in the college entrance examination. All students need to show is their results in the HKCEE. Therefore, students can apply as soon as possible without waiting for the college entrance examination, which can save a lot of time.
However, some first-class colleges and universities may have higher requirements for a certain subject, and generally they will do their best in English and mathematics. If you want to apply for such a school, it will be more successful to apply after you confirm that you have no problems in these two subjects after the college entrance examination.
If it's an art major, besides the basic grades, you have to take an examination of the school's major. If students don't want to take a math test, they don't have to apply for majors like business and science and engineering. Such majors must take a math test.
Second, language
Most schools in Thailand don't have any necessary requirements for language. Even if they do, it won't be particularly difficult. They mainly require school exams.
1. Public
Public institutions may have some difficulties, because they mainly recruit students from their own countries, so there is basically no preparatory course, because students who want to attend such institutions must have a guarantee for their grades at the time of admission, and IELTS must be at least 5.5.
Of course, some schools don't require IELTS because they have their own language classes, but they still require students to pass their tests on the basis of English.
2. Private
(1) English courses
IELTS is not required to apply for these courses, but students can choose to take the test remotely or at school. Then the school will decide whether you should take a preparatory course or an intensive course according to your grades, but no matter which course, the time is 3 to 6 months, and these courses need tuition, about 4-5 yuan.
(2) Chinese and English courses
IELTS is not required for such courses. Generally, Chinese is used for classes in freshman year, and English is gradually used for classes in sophomore year.
This kind of course is generally provided for students who are slightly weak in English and slow to adapt to the environment. Such a course will have a good transition in language and will not be taught in English from the beginning.
(3) Chinese courses
All these courses are taught in Chinese, but English will also be included in the minor courses. This kind of course is generally easy to get started and graduate.
III. Employment
After the international students have completed all their studies here, they can stay here if they have the will and have been employed by enterprises here in Thailand. After the students sign the contract with the enterprise, the government will give these students a foreign work permit and their own work visa. This visa needs to be renewed every year, just do it here in Thailand. An international student who has obtained this visa, his immediate family members can also get a residence visa here, which has the same validity period as the student's visa and can make multiple trips.
