Liangshan County, Sichuan Province, now called Liangping District of Chongqing, is located in the northeast of Chongqing, 90km west of Wanzhou Port, and 180km away from the main city of Chongqing. It is a land fortress connecting the main city of Chongqing and the Three Gorges reservoir area.

Liangshan Airport was built in Liangshan County, Sichuan Province in the 1920s. Liangshan Airport is in the middle of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, guarding Chongqing as the capital. It has made outstanding achievements and won a great reputation.
