If mankind is doomed to extinction, then why should we work hard?

On the earth, in the past 4 billion years, countless species have appeared, especially in ancient times, and many creatures have not found fossils so far, so their existence is an unknown puzzle. Of course, according to the laws of nature, no creature can do it? Immortality? Yes, modern scientific research has found that the total number of extinct creatures on the earth has reached 99%. If these creatures are not extinct and evolve all the way, then the earth will become very chaotic, because only some of them will be eliminated by nature, and others will have living space.

It can be seen that human beings may become extinct one day. Some people think that the reason why we can't find alien civilizations in the vast universe and we haven't received any response may be because all civilizations in the universe have evolved to a certain extent and then were eliminated by nature. No civilization can break through the shackles of life and death, so every civilization evolves alone on its own planet and then waits for one day to be destroyed.

Then, if one day mankind is doomed to extinction, what's the point of our efforts now? Will mankind really become extinct? The answer is obviously yes. Even if there is no external influence, the earth itself will have a sudden climate change and environmental change every once in a while. For example, there have been many ice ages on the earth before. If the earth is once again ushered in the Great Ice Age in the future, when the whole earth is frozen, it is difficult for human beings to become survivors.

Moreover, even more sadly, even if there is no climate and environmental change on the earth, the earth has not suffered any fatal impact. After about1-2 billion years, the earth will no longer be suitable for human habitation, and when the sun enters the final stage of evolution, the whole earth will be swallowed up by the sun.

Why should humans work hard? There is an old saying in our country called? Man can conquer nature? Simply put, if people work hard enough, maybe one day they can get rid of the bondage of fate. Nowadays, human science and technology are developing in full swing. Since 1980s, mankind has started the great idea of interstellar migration and worked hard for it. This is because human beings have long realized that the earth will not belong to us forever.

First of all, the resources on the earth are so scarce that human beings can't use them for long. In the vast universe, many planets are rich in mineral resources. Can the future be ours? Mining planet? . Secondly, many planets in the universe are similar to the earth. If human beings successfully find wormholes in the future, or can approach the speed of light and find ways to prolong their life, they can emigrate to other planets.
