Can people with criminal records in the Mainland settle in Hong Kong?

If it is a criminal offence, you cannot immigrate to Hong Kong and settle down.

Conditions for immigration to Hong Kong:

1. He was at least 18 years old when he applied to come to Hong Kong under this plan;

2. It has continuously owned net assets of not less than HK$ 6,543,800,000 in the two years before the application;

3. Invest in permitted investment assets of not less than HK$ 6,543,800,000 within six months before submitting the application to the Immigration Department or within six months after the application is approved in principle by the Immigration Department (except for deposit certificate investment, it must be made within six months after the application is approved in principle by the Immigration Department);

4. No bad record in Hong Kong and its place of residence;

5. Be able to prove that you have the ability to support yourself and your dependents, and provide shelter without relying on any income, work income or public assistance brought by investment assets allowed by Hong Kong;

6. Note: The applicant must continuously hold net assets of not less than HK$ 6,543,800,000 two years before the application;

7. If the applicant's assets are deposits, it is required that the deposit amount in the account should reach HK$ 6,543,800,000 on the last trading day of each month two years before the application.
