Jiangsu fishing boat collision casualties?

20 17 at 2 o'clock in the morning on August 20th, two fishing boats collided at18km east of Sheyang estuary in Yancheng, Jiangsu, and nine people fell into the water after one of them capsized. As of press time, five of the nine people who fell into the water were successfully rescued, another 1 died and three people lost contact.

After the accident, the maritime departments in Lianyungang, Yancheng and other places immediately launched the emergency plan for maritime search and rescue, and the maritime, fishery, rescue and other departments made every effort to carry out search and rescue. Yancheng Fishery Ship 3252 1, Dafeng Fishery Ship 32530 and Sheyang Fishery Ship 32528 sailed into the incident sea area at the same time, and searched and rescued the capsized fishing boat within a radius of 3 nautical miles.

By the morning of February 1, five of the nine people who fell into the water had been successfully rescued, of which1was seriously injured and sent to Yancheng Hospital, and the other four were sent to Sheyang Hospital for treatment.

On the morning of the 20th, rescuers also salvaged the body of a crew member, and three others were missing.

The local maritime department said that after two fishing boats collided, the capsized fishing boat was "Binhai Fishing 19868" and the other fishing boat had escaped. The rescued crew told the rescuers that the fishing boat had broken down when it was in distress and the crew were sleeping. Suddenly, they heard a loud noise and suspected that they had been hit by other ships. However, because it was dark at that time, they didn't see the "accident" ship.

Yancheng Maritime Search and Rescue Center said that many divers had rushed to the scene, and coast guard boat, fishery vessels, merchant ships, fishing boats and other vessels were in intense search and rescue.
