Even all kinds of food are not allowed to be eaten before they are offered to the Buddha and Sangha. If you do not follow the above instructions, eat first, and do not practice meritoriously and diligently, then the deceased will not benefit at all. If the deceased can work diligently, keep clean, and make offerings to Buddhas and monks sincerely, then the deceased will only get one point among the seven points of merit. For this reason, elder! If sentient beings in Jambudvipa can hold fasts and make offerings to the Three Jewels on behalf of their parents or dependents after their death, with sincerity and sincerity, both the living and the deceased will benefit. ’
