China and Japan belong to the Mongolian race, and their geographical areas are very close, so Professor Lynn began to study the IQ differences between ethnic groups. After collecting and studying the IQ tests of 130 countries, Professor Lynn summarized the different rankings of national IQ in different regions and the reasons.

East Asians (including China, Japanese and Koreans) have the highest average IQ in the world, with an average of 105. Europeans (100), Eskimos (9 1), Southeast Asians (87), American Aborigines (87), Pacific Islanders (85), South Asians and North Africans (84), Saharan Africans (67) and Australian Aborigines (62). The areas with the lowest IQ are the jungle people in the desert plateau of South Africa and the pygmies in the rainforest area of Congo, with an average IQ of 54.

Lynn's research has been criticized by western society. He said that because there is a view in the west that all races have the same IQ, it is considered racial discrimination to study the IQ differences between races.

Through research, Lynn believes that the harsh living environment has created a race with high IQ.

Professor Lynn also studied the reasons for this conclusion. He believes that the differences in IQ among ethnic groups are caused by living environment and genes. Professor Lynn first noticed the view of Jerry Sen, an expert on brain volume evolution at the University of California: in the process of species evolution, the intellectual evolution of species is greatly influenced by the environment and is also an important factor of natural selection. Since East Asians have the highest IQ, why are westerners' inventions better than those of the East?

When Professor Lynn put forward his research, many people questioned it. First, although the IQ of East Asians is higher than that of Europeans and Americans, Europeans are better than East Asians in scientific and technological research and make more inventions. Professor Lynn believes that this is because East Asians are more disciplined than Europeans in character, so they are affected in invention and creation, but this does not prove that East Asians have lower IQ than Europeans.

Professor Lynn explained the problem with gene mutation. Professor Lynn said that in the process of early African Homo erectus migrating to other parts of the world, they carried genes that could evolve high IQ and low IQ.
