Why did Gu Ailing become a citizen of China?

The China of Zhang Ailing stems from her family background and her passion.

She is a Chinese-American mixed-race, with her father from the United States and her mother from China. She used to be a ski instructor. Therefore, Gu Ailing was greatly influenced by her mother, who taught her fluent Chinese. In addition, Gu Ailing's family also graduated from a famous university. His father graduated from Harvard and his mother graduated from Peking University and Stanford.

Aileen's mother, Gu Yan, is from Beijing. Although she had already immigrated to the United States, she paid special attention to the education of Chinese and China traditional culture for Aileen. Therefore, Chinese, like skiing, is something that Aileen can remember. This 14-year-old skier is not only fluent in Chinese, but also speaks tongue twisters and recites ancient poems.

In Gu Yan's view, China people can't forget their ancestors and roots no matter where they are. In the past ten years, every summer vacation, Gu would spend a month or two taking Aileen back to China to study, train and play, so that she would be completely immersed in the Chinese language environment. During this period, Aileen was used to make new friends and attend various short-term courses to enhance her understanding of China culture.
