Why does Zhao Xiane involve illegal employment?

On May 24th, the Exit-Entry Special Investigation Team of Seoul Exit-Entry Aliens Department of the Korean Ministry of Justice summoned Zhao Xiane, former vice president of Korean Air, to investigate his illegal employment of Filipino maids. This is the second time that she has been investigated by the judicial authorities after a lapse of three years and five months since the "Nut Return" incident in February 20 14.

It is reported that Zhao Xiane arrived at the building of the Exit-Entry Foreigners' Hall in Seoul on the afternoon of 24th. When asked whether he admitted to illegally employing Filipino domestic workers, he only briefly replied "I am sorry for causing criticism" and hurried to the investigation room.

Zhao Xiane and her mother, Li Mingji, chairman of Yu Yi Foundation, are suspected of disguising a group of Filipinos as students of Korean Air to provide domestic service. Foreigners who provide domestic service for immigrants who are married in the south must hold a compatriot visa (F-4) or a Korean visa (F-6).

According to the report, the Immigration Task Force investigated whether Zhao Xiane knew that it was illegal to hire Filipino maids, and to what extent it participated in the entry process of Filipino maids.

Entry-exit agencies believe that Hanjin Group President's family brought more than 20 foreign domestic helpers from abroad in recent ten years and sent them to the private houses of Hanjin Group President Zhao and Zhao Xiane for employment.

On May 1 1, the entry-exit authorities conducted a search and evidence collection at the headquarters of Korean Air, and grasped the clue that the Manila office of Korean Air was involved in recruiting workers in the Philippines and handling trainee visas for them.

The entry-exit authorities believe that Korean Air staff organized the recruitment of Filipino domestic helpers according to Zhao's instructions, and summoned the relevant personnel supervisor of Korean Air on May 16.
