Changchun Cultural Square, formerly known as Geological Palace Square, is the largest city square in Changchun, located in the city center, with a total area of 20.5 hectares. Historically, the underground palace square was once planned as the national capital square of the puppet Manchukuo. The main axis of the square is from the road center line of New Democratic Street to the center of the main building of Geological Palace Square. The central axis is 420 meters long, from south to north, in turn: the main entrance of the square and the north-south main road. In the center of the central square is the sculpture of the sun bird in the square, and in the north is the open-air concert hall. Crossing the east-west main road, it is the lobby square of the main building with 654.38+10,000 square meters, and the northernmost part is the main building of the Geological Palace. The entire central axis is paved with natural granite, giving people a natural, solemn and heavy feeling. From the central square to the main entrance, there are square green space and garden road land with a total area of 40,000 square meters, and 3,000 pigeons are raised, which adds interest to the whole square.

Manchukuo Babu

The Ministry of Puppet Manchuria Economy is located at No.9 Xinmin Street, Changchun City, and is now the Third Clinical Medical College of Jilin University. The Ministry of Economic Affairs was established in 1938. The overall plane of the building is rectangular, which belongs to a large roof building with reinforced concrete structure. The main building has five floors, with dark brown tiles on the wall and dark glazed tiles on the roof and eaves, covering an area of 43,200 square meters. The Ministry of Economic Affairs of Manchuria was originally called "Ministry of Finance of Manchuria", and it was renamed "Jianqian Department" in 1937.

An old building located at No.30 Jianshe Street, Changchun City (now Oriental Real Estate Development Company of Jilin Province) was the seat of the former puppet Manchukuo Foreign Ministry.

This building was built in 1934, with a total construction area of 9700 square meters. It is contracted by a French construction company, responsible for design and construction. Completely French style, it is unique among many unique buildings in Changchun.

All the policies implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Puppet Manchukuo were aimed at maintaining its colonial rule and brutally suppressing the interests of the people in Northeast China. Japan has always attached importance to the northeast of China as its lifeline. In order to seize this lifeline, Japan began to realize its plan of moving its diplomacy northward, aiming at the Soviet Union in attack and defense.

However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Puppet Manchukuo was a diplomacy at the end of the road. Only a few small countries, such as El Salvador, established diplomatic relations with it in those years, which shows its pity and sorrow.

In the southwest corner of Changchun Cultural Square, there is a towering building at Xinmin Street 1, which was the former military department of the Puppet Manchukuo (now the First Clinical College of Jilin University). The Military Department of the Puppet Manchukuo, formerly known as the Military and Political Department, is an important organ for commanding the troops of the Puppet Manchukuo.

In its history of exercising power, it has formulated and implemented a large number of strategies to suppress the people of China. Although it is called "Military Department", it is actually in charge of "military and political affairs". 1937 was renamed "Ministry of Public Security".

The original building was five floors. In the early 1990s, the Changchun Municipal Government raised the building by one floor.

The Puppet Manchukuo Ministry of Justice is located at No.6 Xinmin Street, Changchun City, and is now the campus of Xinmin Campus of Jilin University. The Ministry of Justice of the Puppet Manchukuo was established in 1935. It is responsible for judicial, court, prison, civil, criminal, nationality, cadastral and other judicial affairs. It is famous for making laws to suppress patriotic forces and serving Japanese imperialist aggression and colonial policies. Unscrupulously deprived the people of Northeast China of their right to exist, creating one "bloody case" after another.

The overall building of the Ministry of Justice of the Puppet Manchukuo is cross-shaped with reinforced concrete structure, with a total construction area of 16328 square meters. It is a municipal cultural relics protection unit in Changchun.

The former site of the Puppet Manchukuo Ministry of Communications is located at No.7 Xinmin Street, Changchun City, and now it is the teaching building of the Health Department of Xinmin Campus of Jilin University. The building is built in 1937, with reinforced concrete structure. The main building has four floors, three wings and one underground floor. The edge of the sloping roof is engraved with patterns, and four decorative columns protrude from the wall. The whole building is covered with light brown inch tiles and topped with crimson glazed tiles.

The former site of the Agricultural Promotion Department of the Puppet Manchukuo is located at No.20 Liberty Road, and now it is high school attached to northeast normal university. The building is a two-story building with the main entrance facing north and reinforced concrete structure, with a construction area of 98,765,438+0 square meters.

The Ministry of Culture and Education of the Puppet Manchukuo was originally located in the east of the Ministry of Agricultural Promotion of the Puppet Manchukuo. 1945 After Japan surrendered, this building was occupied by Changchun University. After liberation, it was taken over by Northeastern University (Northeast Normal University Hospital). Now it is the teaching building of the primary school affiliated to Northeast Normal University.

The whole goal of the Puppet Manchu Culture and Education Department is to destroy the northeast culture, vigorously develop colonial culture and education, and safeguard their colonial rule. They banned all cultural teaching with China's national consciousness and destroyed all books and periodicals with national consciousness. In teaching, the Ministry of Education does not allow people to use China textbooks or hang maps of China. They created public opinion, set up a "Buddhism and Dharma Communication Office", vigorously publicized aggression and expansion, and safeguarded fascist rule.

Located at Renmin Street 133, Changchun City (now Jilin Petrochemical Design Institute), it was the Ministry of People's Livelihood in the former Manchukuo period. The Ministry of People's Livelihood was originally called the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and was renamed the Ministry of People's Livelihood in March 1937, and the Ministry of Health and Welfare in March 1945.

The Ministry of People's Livelihood is actually an important working organization, which is responsible for suppressing the immigration policy of the Northeast people and Japan. Through "cadastral arrangement", we plundered the land of farmers in Northeast China, and actively planned to set up "Manchuria Colonization Co., Ltd." to be responsible for "on-site guidance of immigrants and land requisition" and other matters.
