1975, Sun was reinstated as a pilot, and later he was elected to the air force test flight group and began a new stage of training. During the training, Sun made a rigorous exploration of the environment around the airport. In the following days, a careful defection plan was made for Sun. At that time, because Dalian Airport was close to South Korea, Sun also decided to fly to South Korea first and then to Taiwan Province Province.

However, Sun did not return to China, but officially arrived in Taiwan Province Province on August 24th. 1983.

After Sun came to Taiwan Province Province, he was highly valued by the Taiwanese government.
