Can I travel to the United States while applying for an immigrant visa?

If you plan to settle permanently in the United States, you need to wait for an immigrant visa/fiance (wife) visa before making a travel plan. If you only want to stay in the United States for a short time and eventually return to your original permanent residence, you can apply for a non-immigrant B2 visa. To get a B2 visa, you must prove to the interviewer that you have absolutely no intention of immigrating to the United States before completing the application for an immigrant visa. This is usually difficult to prove for obvious reasons. But it is not necessarily impossible.
