Where is Houcun?

Houcun, formerly known as Ruochuan, has a population of 170 households and 4 13 people, with a history of 1000 years. Located in the south of Jinyun County, 38km away from the county seat, it has a total population of more than 900 people, a forest area of more than 6,000 mu, and a cultivated land area of more than 600 mu, including 440 paddy fields. With the solid progress of new rural construction, the key industries represented by edible fungi and water bamboo have developed rapidly, and the process of agricultural industrialization has been accelerating. Now it has become the production base of alpine vegetables in our county.

Houcun is adjacent to Qiancun, Huanhu Village, Nanxi Village, Xinxiliao Village, Muli Village, Xifeng Village, Shiting Village, Xiangu Village, Liaokeng Village, Hehe Village, Waiqian Village and Caotou Village.

On February 4, 2020, 65438 Houcun was selected as the list of health villages in Zhejiang Province in 2020.

There are many tourist attractions near Houcun, such as Dayang Reservoir, Dayangshan Scenic Area, Xiandu National Scenic Area, Heyang Ancient Dwellings and Jinyun County Museum. There are also some specialties such as Jinyun Duck, Jinyun Surface, Jinyun Duck, Jinyun Yellow Tea and Xiandu Sunfeng Tea.
