Monuments in Dadong Village

Dajiangou East Village has many villagers and simple folk customs. It is said that most of the villagers are immigrants from Hongdong, Shaanxi Province and descendants of Sophora japonica. Up to now, there is an ancient pagoda tree in the village. Its abdomen is hollow and a small pagoda tree grows on it. The two trees are intertwined and flourishing. Behind the tree is the Zhenwu Temple in the north, which has been well preserved so far. It is an all-stone structure, and the foundation is about three meters from the ground. It is carved with small tiles and beams, all of which are tiles. A big pine tree was planted in front of the temple. There is a bed-sized stone tablet with clear handwriting, which is debatable. There are dragon and phoenix patterns and auspicious clouds carved around the stone tablet. The temple is now dedicated to the gods such as Master Jigong and Grandma Taishan. There are countless good men and women, and incense is constantly burning during the day. Corresponding to Zhenwu Emperor Temple, Kannonji, 300 meters south, no longer exists; To the east is the main hall. According to legend, there were monks, and so far only long bluestone steps remain. Further west are the Land Temple and the Dragon King Temple. The statues of clay sculptures and wooden tires were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution and no longer exist. There are many ancient buildings in this village. Up to now, we can still see stone houses in use, mostly long limestone masonry, with close structure and horses and chariots in front of the big house.
